Mark Westphal announced recently that he plans to run as a
Democrat for the 55th State Assembly seat held by Republican Dean
Kaufert of Neenah.
Westphal, 47, is an industrial electrician at Mondi Packaging/Akrosil in
Menasha. He has worked there 27 years. He has bee president of
the Fox Valley Labor Council for the past 10 years, and serves on the
Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, United Way Board and
Winnebago County W-2 Steering Committee.
Westphal is married and has a 20-year-old daughter.
